Work -Life-Balance And Physical Well-Being More Than A Gimmick
BALANCING WORK LIFE AND PHYSICAL WELL-BEING Have you ever experienced a breakdown from stress because of a lack of balance between work and physical well-being? What are your strategies for balancing your work life and physical well-being?

Hello #scifimultiverse, welcome to my blog. The only constant thing in life is change, and balancing work life and physical well-being is a change mantra everyone must learn to adapt to. It has become a norm for individuals to skip meals in the name of being busy with work or having tight schedules. While this has sent some to their early graves, others are left with a terminal ailment.

Many individuals, not excluding myself, have experienced times where intense work, accumulation of stress, and poor self-care affected physical and emotional well-being. In my early career days, some employees and I ignorantly sold our annual leave to the company, thinking that we were smart and making money. At some point, it boomeranged; the after-effects were worse than the amount we collected. I was constantly having a heavy head, headache, and general body weakness. I easily become irritated and lose focus on my work.
Furthermore, some signs that indicate a gap in life-work balance and physical well-being include restlessness, poor sleep habits, and taking work home all the time. Others are not going for annual leave, mood swings, general body weakness, missing deadlines, and losing focus. Meanwhile, the result of not balancing work and physical vices is low productivity, poor performance, and errors in deliverables. Sometimes, too, not taking care of our physical well-being and overworking can lead to depression, especially in a toxic environment where employees' freedom is not guaranteed.
Additionally, as I progressed in my career, I began to notice that I wasn’t getting it right, and overworking myself could lead to life-threatening sickness. This is after I realised that I was having constant heavy head and weakness in my body system.

To correct the abnormality and maintain balance, I started being intentional about my physical well-being, taking my annual leave, and spending quality time with my family. I stopped taking work home except in unavoidable situations. I also started observing a 25-minute walkout every day and eating right, sleeping up to eight hours, relaxing at every given opportunity, and protecting my peace by setting boundaries and maintaining healthy relationships with people around me.
In conclusion, health is wealth; therefore, maintaining a balance and doing the right thing is the only option to a healthy body and mind, which will result in effectiveness, high yield efficiency, and an increase in productivity.

I really don't support taking work home, when you are home rest, spend time with family and friends, and when you are at work you can work all you want.
Exactly , sometimes these are the things I did then to please my employers but as time goes on, I found out that it is just ignorance and doesn't really impress anyone instead one is stylishly showing incompetence.
Therefore, I adjusted to start working smart than hard .

Good to see you try to mine HBIT anyway (UTC) without me reminding you about it, though your token mining command there did not work (even if you accidentally published it twice). 🤯😅 !WEIRD !HOPE

We need to balance this things because of our health and wellbeing.
Exactly 💯 💯 I agreea, if not the consequences might be greater than the rewards we think we are striving for.

You are correct 👏 👌
The moment you refuse to prioritize your health and overwork yourself, you will pay the price dearly. As much as work is important, we need to know how to balance it with our well-being

That's the way to go. There should be a balance between work and our life. One should not suffer for the other.

A lot of people have suffered from one health issue or work issue from abandoning one aspect of it. Life demands that a balance is kept and it's a good thing you noticed it and made a change

Sometimes, lessons are learned the hard way. I would have continued to short change myself without knowing that I wasn't really doing the right thing. But the challenges forced me to have a reset as to work -life balance.

You're welcome
Health is wealth - This is something we forget at times as having a good health could come with peace of mind but only when we are able to find a balance. We all need to prioritize finding a work-life balance.
I agree with you.
It's something we need to find a balance, else, when we think we are making money, we wouldn't know that we are short changing ourselves.
