The Ants Chemical Sense Of Communication: The Sense I wish I Had

SHARP SENSES IN ANIMALS

Hello #scifimultiverse, compliments of the season, I trust everyone is vibing to the Christmas atmosphere around us with beautiful songs like “Feliz Navidad.” Welcome to my blog.

I just realised I missed Edition 1. An interesting prompt. Being someone also interested in learning and knowing more about animals, I ran a quick check, and from my research I realised that Ants have a great means of communication that made them build a strong teamwork in their dynasty.

I found out that they release chemical signals called pheromones for quick and proper communication, and when the leader gives an instruction, there is no argument. Everyone heeds the call. No wonder the scripture also referred to the Ant by saying, “Go to the ant thou sluggard, consider her ways and be wise.” This is because ants are seen as smart and wise. They are diligent and practice orderliness.

This chemical means of communication has helped the ants to gather food in bulk, fight as a group when the enemy invades their camp, and carry their dead bodies home. I have keenly admired their lifestyle since I was small.

We once tried to invade the termite mound around our house. The reaction we got from these ants sent us packing to retreat and relaunch our attack, well prepared with serious backup, before we were able to overcome them. It took us days to fight them until they were cleared.

The ants have a strong sense of communication and align with those commands. They take a single file, and nobody deviates from their missions for the day, except that if they are intercepted, they will scatter but yet regroup into their single file very smoothly and easily.

Imagine if I had that kind of ability to lead through some chemical signals, my team would be second to none. I would be able to lead with little challenge, make quick decisions, and quickly detect when some aren’t heading in the right direction, fish out the weak ones quickly to support them, while we continue strong.

Though as humans, we need to disagree to agree, seek our team's suggestions and support, and not run an autocratic government, which seems to work for the Ants. It might not work for humans.

Hans
Finally, having an ant's chemical means of communication will not only make me a better person but will make my team strong, indivisible, and unbeatable because team means:

Together, Each Achieves More.

There's a lot to learn from the ant - teamwork, support, perseverance, planning for rainy days. These creatures are indeed wise.

My Sis, they are. I always find it interesting to watch them. Sometimes too, I derive joy in scatter them and watch them regroup.
They are such an interesting creature to observe.

I have always wondered how ants always find a way to reassemble even after they are interrupted, now I know. Thanks for entry I just learnt something really important and I am glad you still made a post about your research even when you missed the timeframe for it... Gratitude
