Robots may be defined as automatic machines programmed to execute simple or difficult tasks with little or no assistance from human beings. Today, some wealthy men use robots to execute complex tasks in their homes and offices. These tasks include security and home support assistants. Again, some companies, especially in the packaging, logistics, and supply chain, employ robots to execute difficult functions such as lifting heavy loads, packing canned and packaged products, among other tasks.

At present, love has begun to fail some people. Individuals do not really care for each other deeply again. We wake up hustling to go for our daily endeavours, come back tired and hungry. What follows is the desire to eat and go to bed. Some individuals even work from Monday to Sunday to meet family needs. The result is a lack of love and care in the family. Loneliness everywhere.

Imagine, in the midst of this dilemma, a robot automatically begins to fill that gap. Comes around when the individual is back, cooks, and engages the individual in discussions. Keeps the individual busy with quality engagement talks and even walks the person to bed after making the bed. Hehe, it would actually be difficult to say no to such friendliness.

Some of the challenges will be that robots don’t have emotions or feelings. Again, for every function it undertakes, somebody must handle the programming. Furthermore, the robot might malfunction, which can put the owner in harm's way. Though individuals sometimes do have their five-minute malfunction as well. Such a period may lead to quarrels and conflict. Some may even deteriorate into physical exchanges.

Recently, I saw a display of a robot making a speech at an occasion with the USA president’s wife present. In fact, robots have come a long way, rendering useful support in factories and homes.
In conclusion, the way people are using different things these days as alternative tools to satisfy their natural emotions and feelings. Robots can also hold sway in dire situations of loneliness, especially to keep us busy and engaged. After all, when the desired is not available, the available becomes desired.
