If Wishes Are Horses, Laziness Will Abound
SHOOTING STAR AND A WISH Tell us, do you believe the wish asking with a shooting star will come true or not? Have you ever heard about it or not? If you believe in this, then what is your wish at that time? Have you ever seen a shooting star and then wished for something in life??
Hello #scifimultiverse friends, I trust your week is going well. Welcome to my blog.

When I was younger, we usually went to my mum's village for the yuletide holidays. There, in the night, whenever the Moon comes out, we will gather in front of the compound and engage in many games,
First, it is reading with the moonlight. The adults around will organise the competition in batches, and anyone who emerges as the overall winner will get a reward. Also, for the friendly sparring match or playing boxing, the overall winners go home with rewards.
Furthermore, during that time, on a few occasions, we have witnessed this shooting star flying up the cloud at the speed of light and disappearing in a twinkling of the eye. The first time, the adult shouted luck, luck, luck seven times. At that point, I was confused, but I quietly approached my cousin and asked him what that chant meant. He told me that any day and anytime I sighted that shooting star, I should shout luck seven times, making a wish before the star disappears. I nodded my head in acceptance and happily left.

Ever since that time, I have keenly watched out for the shooting star until a few months ago, when I saw it again when I visited my sister's house. Immediately, I started chanting my wish while my sister watched in disbelief. When the star disappeared, she asked what I had just done, and I happily shared my story with her. Shockingly, she told me that what I just did is for a lazy man. We argued about it, but I realised that I didn’t have any proof to back my claims, so I gave up.
That was how I dropped that superstitious belief, accepting the fact that I was wallowing in ignorance and being naïve about it. Giving it a second thought, I concluded that if horses were wishes, the world would have been a bed of roses.
However, I am not sure about my cousins and other friends who also believed and made the luck chant. I wouldn’t know if it has ever worked for them, but for me, my wish then in the shooting star wish chant was to travel abroad. That wish and dream is yet to come to pass.

You made me smile all through to the end. That you haven't traveled abroad yet doesn't make it a baseless act. No one could tell which works and which do not work. It solely depends on what we believe in and mostly power lies in the tongue so these
Huh, i grab this oneooo. There is power in the words we speak. The tongue is a great instrument in pushing those words to their right domain.
It is such a dream I hold dear to heart then as a child, though with the present situation right now, there are other priorities and preferences.
But you see that tongue of a thing. It is very powerful.
It can make or mar us.

Thanks for sharing.
Excatly, that is the reason why those wishes cant be relied on .
I see them as superstitious, meanwhile some might claim it works for them. For those individuals, we also need to see things from their own perspective.
So that we strike a balance within those that believe and those that believe not.
