With the way the world is going right now, I’m certain that it’s only going to get even smaller. And this is not a result of the internet. Yeah, I know that the internet and social media have played a huge role in shrinking the world to the point that people can be on opposite ends of the planet and still conduct business without any significant hitch.

We have social media to thank for that, but if we’re looking at only that, we have to admit that there’s only so far social media can take us. If we want the world to get even smaller, we would have to do the rest of the things ourselves. And humans have already started on this path for decades now. What is this thing that I’m talking about? Intermarriage.

2dk2RRM2dZ8gKjXsrozapsD83FxL3Xbyyi5LFttAhrXxr16mCe4arfLHA37mQtCuynkak9C9VAxm3nacdB7gLmLiZLuYVhHeNsRgxL6WKJoam3hs2B7ZLAp2jwaLFEwoAbLKzAfpv2DhtyvHbJunTbU58RMbxtkvefNK4qj8EA.png

And I’m not just talking about tribal intermarriage, I mean marrying across continents and races. It’s something that is becoming more prevalent with time, and from the looks of it, it’s not stopping anytime soon. It’ll become more rampant and will soon become the order of the day.

There was a time when people were only interested in marrying within their tribes, and if the lovers were from different tribes, the parents would object. But then people softened until it got to marrying across continents. One of the major issues people worry about is cultural differences and beliefs. However, if the lovers are really in love, then it shouldn’t be difficult for them to cope.

So, is all this intermarriage a good thing? Hell yeah! I think it’s actually the best thing for the world. These days, almost every country in the world has at least one or two citizens who have married into other countries. We have Nigerians who have married Koreans, Chinese who have married French, Bangladeshi who are married to Americans… and the list goes on and on.

No matter the country you can think of, there is probably an intermarriage in there somewhere. And what does this mean? It’s not just about the cultural exchange that will be sure to occur, but the offspring of that relationship will be more tolerant and open to just how diverse the world can be. When we have more and more marriages like this, we have new generations which majority of them have dual nationalities. By the time they too are ready to get married, they will also get married to other cultures and nations because by that time, it would be so much easier.

2dk2RRM2dZ8gKjXsrozapsD83FxL3Xbyyi5LFttAhrXxr16mCe4arfLHA37mQtCuynkak9C9VAxm3nacdB7gLmLiZLuYVhHeNsRgxL6WKJoam3hs2B7ZLAp2jwaLFEwoAbLKzAfpv2DhtyvHbJunTbU58RMbxtkvefNK4qj8EA.png

And this is why I’m projecting that in at least a hundred years, things like skin color won’t matter anymore. No one will be white, black, red, or any other color out there. Because by then, if you take your time to investigate, everyone will have a bit of everything in their ancestry. Imagine having a DNA test and it reveals that you have Asian, African, and even American roots in your ancestry. And then, you get married to someone with European, African and Asian roots as well. You can imagine what it will be like for the children born into this relationship.

Can you see where I’m trying to take us with all this? When things get to this point, things like racism, tribalism, and the like will cease to exist. Because that race you feel is inferior, you probably have it in your DNA, or your wife is rooted firmly in it. And the same goes with religion, we’ll be more open to religious tolerance, for the same reason. As a Christian, you’d probably have a grandfather who was Muslim and an uncle who is Hindu.

So, the world becomes smaller and smaller indeed. It will take a long time for us to get there, but I’m certain we will get there. I’m not saying this will mean peace and tranquility for the world. Nah, there will always be bad apples who choose to make life difficult for others. However, I am saying that vices like racial profiling, racial-based violence, xenophobic attacks, and religious wars will become a thing of the past.

Once we find ourselves more tolerant, both of the things we understand and those we don’t we’d find out that truly life isn’t hard. We just choose to make it so. So, as for me, I’ll encourage us to keep up the intermarriage. Get married into another tribe, country, religion, or culture. It’s not just for you, it’s also for your children and those who come after them. We need to make sure that all the ugliness many of us had to suffer simply dies with us.

We have to do better!

I agree with you about intermarriage and it's good for future generations and that kind of cases increased a little bit compared to past but still those are exceptional case because most of the cases people don't love to go for marriage too much far means we all find at least cultural similarities in case of marriage. Besides I think in the future many countries will ban that kind of marriage specially the countries of white people.
So only exceptions can't change too much in 100 years but it may be possible in thousands years.

Yeah, there are still people who believe only in marrying within their culture. However, I'm certain that with time, coming generations won't care so much. The more we get to learn about other cultures, the more open we could be to spending the rest of our lives with them.

Hmm that’s true oh
We’ve seen two people of different tribes or colors who get married and love themselves to the end. Marriages could actually let people forget about their colors and all
Marriages could save the world
I agree!

Yeah... it's just a matter of time, that's all.
But we'll get there.

It is exactly like that, a person should get married early, it has many benefits, a person also avoids wrongdoing and when responsibility is placed on a person, a person gets a chance to understand things very quickly.

If the world goes as you said, with everyone having intermarriages, then I think the world will be in a better place. Imagine the world we are living in now becoming a place where everyone is connected through marriages, eliminating any form of discrimination. I believe the world will be a better place soon with the coming generation.
