RE: Something I just learned bout humidity maybe other people need to know

We have an air purifier that we keep in our bedroom and we turn it on every night. My wife has pretty horrible allergies, so it's almost a necessity for us. Funny story, she went to the allergy doctor and he asked if she was dreaming much. She said no, and he said it has something to do with the histamines and her not being able to enter deep sleep where dreams happen. As soon as we got the air purifier, she started remembering specific dreams. Might be a placebo effect, but who knows. I'd be sure to get something with a removeable filter that you can clean or replace. It might be more expensive, but sticking with major name brands will ensure you can get replacement filters down the road.
We have one from Holmes that we keep in the travel trailer and it has worked well for us for many years. We also had a honeywell one that lasted a long time too. Getting something with HEPA filtering is a good idea, but you need to be careful if you get one that does ozone filtering, especially in a small space. Ozone can be toxic and I think deadly in the right circumstances.
exactly the sort of information I was looking for. I will do this. I am not allergic to anything per se, but I don't like the idea of breathing the polluted air of these countries that I choose to live in so this seems like an investment that I probably should get.
I have been having extremely vivid dreams lately as well after getting the dehumidifier but as you have read, I kind of always did... they are just more regularly occurring now.
I'm glad I was able to help a little bit! I hope it makes a difference for you even if it isn't overtly noticeable.
