The Science of Aging: Unlocking the Secrets to Living Longer and Healthier Lives
Like we popularly know, there is always a time for everything. There is time to sleep and time to be awake, there is time to rest and there is time to work. This principle is universal to everything that there is time and season to everything which includes our body system.
You will discover that what you do when you were a baby or a kid, you grow up and stop doing it. You grow to the point of adulthood and you drop some of the things you do when you are a kid. Same thing also as you grow further, you discover there are even something's you do in your adulthood that you stop doing them as you grow older. Priorities changes, perspectives changes and a lot changes in us.
That is to show to us that we as human being is sensitive to something called growth. We react to growth and we desire growth in every day of our life. No human want to be stunted or stagnant in whatever aspect of life. This will lead me to the topic I will like to discuss with us today. It has been proven that as time one grows, one ages which started from your appearance, your skin, your strength and your body system begins to react to what you use to do before that you can't do again.
You can't help but accept the fact that you can't cheat nature. No matter how you desire to keep looking younger and younger, it will get to a time, old age will begin to tell on your body. Some it start early due to some reasons while some even in their old age, they still look so much younger than the young ones. But guess what, in as much as you can't cheat nature, there are still some things you can put in place that can still make tour old age an amazing period to enjoy. This started from what you consume. One of my friend always say why is it that in our contemporary age, we always find it difficult for people to live older than the time of your great grandparents period.
In fact, the expectations is we should live older more than them since we are now more surrounded with a lot of resource's that should help us to live adequately which might include improved technology, refined chemicals and research to aid health. Developed drugs to help the body system function adequately well and many. But even with all this, it didn't do much good. I will say this can be pointed to as our generation has been affected due to a lot of harmful chemicals surrounding us which we think it will help our life but in the long run cut our life span short.
Those chemicals which can be found either in our foods, drinks, drugs or any source. Some of these chemicals have little effect on our body. Yea that's true. It might shock you that in as much as drugs and medicine can be useful for your body system, it has been discovered that for every drugs and medicine you take, it has a way of affecting your body system in little ways. Those creams and body lotions we make use of that seems to be making our skin glow. Some of them have a way of affecting our body system and affecting us not to stay healthy. These and even the ones I didn't mentioned. After summing up, you will discover that it begins to affect your body system and affect your aging period at the end of the day which might even lead to your life span been cut short. I think this is what is affecting our generation nowadays. We have so much affected our life's with the chemicals we feed our lifestyle on and then we expect our aging period to still be as good as decades ago. I really doubt it
