Amigos se viene una nueva aventura, hoy los llevare a una ciudad historica e iconica en le norte de Portugal, ya estuvimos visitando el Castillo de Chaves el cual les mencionare en el post pero ademas les traigo muchas fotos del casco historico de Chaves, una caminata a los puntos de interes mas bonitos para que lo tengas en cuenta en tu proxima vacaciones ademas te dejare unos consejos como viajero... The first step is to locate and have an idea of where Chaves is, so you can plan your trip. For example, if you're coming to stay in Porto for your vacation, then this city isn't too far away and you can include it in your plans, but coming from Lisbon is a different story...🏰🌲
El primer paso es ubicar y tener una nocion sobre donde esta Chaves, asi puedes organizar tu viaje, por ejemplo si vienes a quedarte de vacaiones en Porto entonces esta ciudad no esta tan lejos y puedes incluirla en tus planes, pero desde Lisboa ya es otra historia...⛲🧭
Some tips for visiting the city/ Algunos consejos para visitar la ciudad:
To save money on your trip, I recommend staying in a hotel on the outskirts of the city center; they tend to be cheaper and you can save up to 20 euros per day.
It's best to travel by private vehicle; public transport is limited.
Make a visit plan and route to cover as many things as possible; don't forget the castle and the Roman ruins.
Meals in the city center are more expensive than in the surrounding areas; try to find restaurants with "daily specials," these usually cost around 15 euros.
Spring is the best time of year; in summer there are many fires in the area.

mejor moverse en vehiculo particular el transporte publico es limitado
haz un plan de visita y ruta para cubrir la mayor cantidad de cosas posibles, no te olvides del castillo y las ruinas romanas
las comidas en el centro son mas costosas que los alrededores trata de buscar restaurantes con "platos del dia" estos suelen rondar los 15 euros
primavera es la mejor epoca del ano, en verano hay muchos incendios en la zona
There are hotels to suit all tastes, prices can average from 40 euros per night to 110, it all depends on how close you want to be to the city, or how comfortable you want to sleep, there are local accommodations where you can book a house and stay with several families.🌍😁

Chaves, like other cities in the country, went through the same process of colonization by different civilizations throughout history. In prehistory, there were already records of small settlements of primitive men inhabiting caves. Later, the Romans consolidated the city, which they named Aquae Flaviae, because here they built the largest thermal waters in Portugal and even one of the most sophisticated in the Iberian Peninsula.🌍🧭⛲
Chaves como otras ciudades del pais paso por el mismo proceso de colonizacion de diferentes civilizaciones durante la historia, en la prehistoria ya habian registros de pequenos acentamientos de hombres primitivos a habitar cavernas, posteriormente los Romanos fueron quien consolidaron la ciudad la cual denominaron: (Aquae Flaviae) esto porque aqui ellos construyeron las aguas termales mas grandes de Portugal e inclusive una de las mas sofisticadas de la peninsula iberica.🌲🏰🌳
Roman Baths🌍🏞️/ Termas Romanas📍🧭
These Roman medicinal baths in Chaves were one of the most important on the Iberian Peninsula and connected Lusitania and Hispania. They reached a temperature of 76 degrees and were built in the 1st century. Currently, they are being restored, and a series of paths are being created to allow access. There is also a museum that exhibits all the archaeological finds found there.🧭🌍
Estas termas medicinales romanas en Chaves fueron una de las mas importantes de la peninsula iberica y conectaba lusitania e hispania, conseguian una temperatura de 76 grados y fueron construidas en el siglo I, actualmente se encuentra en restauracion y estan creando una serie de caminos para poder circular en ellas, tambien cuenta con un museo que exhibe todas la arqueologia aqui encontrada.🏢🗺️

Another must-see in Chaves is the Roman bridge, also built from the 1st century AD. It crosses an important section of the city, which is separated by the Tamega River, and has a very particular history. There is evidence written in Latin on it, and it can be seen how, on some occasion, the river's flooding destroyed part of it.⛲🚩

From the 11th and 12th centuries onwards came the era of the reconquests led by King Henry, one of the most important kings of Portugal for his victories and conquests of lands from the Moors. Following this, Chaves would pass into Portuguese hands and the castle was built to protect its city. However, from the Romans to the present day, it also passed through the hands of the Visigoths.🌍📍

Chaves is popular because it is literally on the border with Spain where the country ends and is the last place where the historic N2 route ends; it is an alternative route to the motorway, very popular with motorcyclists from all over the world⛲🗺️

We've covered most of the information you need about Chaves; the only thing missing is the restaurants. But as I mentioned before, there are restaurants of all types and for every budget. Normally, for two people, you can spend 50 euros, but then there are restaurants where you can easily pay 100 euros. It all depends on you, but this is a list of the most famous ones.🏰⛲
Hemos abarcado una gran parte de la informacion que necesitas sobre Chaves, solo se nos escaparia la restauracion pero como lo mencionaba antes tambien hay restaurantes de todo tipo y para cada bolsillo, norlmalmente para dos personas puedes gastar 50euros luego hay restaurantes donde facilmente pagas 100euros todo dependera de ti, pero esta es una lista de los mas famosos🚩😁
