Greetings, friends! A new adventure is coming. Today we'll be taking an urban trail called "Colombo-Marquises Palace." It's not official for the parish, so you won't find it online. Instead, I've customized it for you to explore three beautiful and interesting places in downtown Lisbon, specifically in Benfica. If you're traveling to the country, I'll save you a lot of work by mapping out the route you should follow for your convenience. Among the sites to visit are: Colombo Shopping Center, Monsanto Park, and finally Fronteira Palace. The latter two are cultural heritage sites.🚙🚩

Se viene una nueva aventura, para hoy realizaremos un sendero urbano llamado "Colombo-palacio marqueses" no es oficial de la freguesia por eso no lo conseguirás en internet, por el contrario, yo lo personalicé para que conozcas tres sitios bonitos e interesante del centro de Lisboa exactamente en Benfica, si vienes de viaje al País te voy a evitar trabajo, ya que trace la ruta que debes acompañar para tu mayor comodidad, entre los sitios a visitar son: (Centro Comercial Colombo, Parque Monsanto y por último Palacio Fronteira); Los dos ultimo patrimonio cultural.🌄🏛️

Well friends, we've probably passed by Colombo before and mentioned it, but we didn't go into too much detail about how to get there from anywhere in downtown Lisbon. First, I recommend visiting it because it's very large and has a wide variety of brands. The security guards are annoying when they see you taking too many photos, so I'll avoid the awkward moment, haha, but go for it! I'll leave you the website where you can top up your metro card or buy one at a station, and the line you need to take to get here! Basically, it's the "Military College" station next to a bus stop.🚩🚙🧭
Bien amigos, probablemente pasamos alguna vez por el Colombo y lo mencionamos, pero no dimos tantos detalles sobre como llegar a este punto desde cualquier parte del centro de Lisboa, primero te recomiendo visitarlo porque es muy grande y tiene una gran variedad de marcas, los vigilantes molestan cuando te ven tirando muchas fotos así que evitaré el mal rato jajaja, pero anímate! ¡Te dejo el sitio web donde puedes recargar tu tarjeta del metro o comprarla en una estación y la línea que debes tomar para llegar aquí! Prácticamente, es la estación "colegio militar" al lado de una parada de autobuses.🌍🗺️

Urban park "da quinta da granja"📸📍/ Parque urbano "da quinta da granja"🏛️🚙
When we leave Colombo we will pass by the park: "Parque Urbano da Quinta da Granja" there is nothing special, but if you are with your family you can stop and rest to play with the children in the park or buy some supplies because it has a store there, I forgot to mention that the route is only 4 km quite relaxed and not complicated so it is ideal for all ages, you just have to be prepared in summer because of the heat this park is a small escape route for all those who live in the center.🚙🚩
Cuando partimos desde Colombo vamos a pasar por el parque: "Parque Urbano da Quinta da Granja" no tiene nada de especial, pero si andas con tu familia puedes parar y descansar para jugar con los niños en el parque o comprar algunos insumos porque tiene un local allí, se me olvidaba mencionarte que el recorrido es de tan solo 4 km bastante relajado y nada complicado por eso es ideal para todas las edades, solo debes estar prevenido en verano por el calor este parque es una pequeña vía de escape para todos los que viven en el centro.🏢

¿Why walk when you can bike the route? That's right, my friend! On average, you'll spend between 5 and 8 euros a few hours cycling around the park. This is for the hike along another route around Monsanto Park. However, our route doesn't allow for bicycles because the terrain is difficult and unpaved, and you could damage your bike. However, I'm mentioning this so you can keep it in mind on your way back to Colombo.🌍🧭

This bridge is important to get to the park, you have no other access, NOT FROM COLOMBO, if you get lost you would have to spend more than 1 hour walking around the park, if you saw it and have already passed it then you are on the right track and in a few meters you are officially in Monsanto the "lung of Lisbon", from here we will take the path ON THE LEFT🌍📍
Este puente es importante para llegar al parque, no tienes otro acceso, NO DESDE COLOMBO, si te pierdes tendrías que gastar más de 1 hora caminando para rodear el parque, si lo vistes y ya lo pasastes entonces vas por buen camino y en pocos metros estás oficialmente en Monsanto el "pulmón de Lisboa", de aqui haremos el camino DE LA IZQUIERDA🗺️🚩

After crossing the pedestrian bridge and reaching the nature reserve, immediately turn left and continue along the path until you reach the "Convento de São Domingos de Benfica." Pasando el puente peatonal y llegando a la reserva natural, inmediatamente gira a tu izquierda y sigue siempre el camino hasta llegar al "Convento de São Domingos de Benfica" a menos de un kilómetro estarás llegando al palacio, no es complicada la ruta, solo seguir el camino que te digo.🌄🍂🍃
We already made a post about Monsanto in the past, so I won't spend much time describing the place, it's better if you look at my blog about the park and you'll find details of the forest, the intention of this walk is to cover a little of the city and the park, which is considered the "lung of Lisbon" because it is in the middle of the city, if you don't have supplies here, there is drinking water and bathrooms, it will be difficult to find a place to buy things.🚙🚵🏻♀️
De Monsanto ya hicimos un post en el pasado, por ello no dedicaré mucho tiempo describiendo el lugar, es mejor que busques en mi blog sobre el parque y te aparecerá detalles del bosque, la intención de esta caminata es poder abarcar un poco la ciudad y el parque que es considerado el "pulmón de Lisboa" porque está en medio de la ciudad, si no tienes suministros aquí hay agua potable y baños, difícilmente conseguirás un local donde comprar cosas.🍃🍂

Well, friends, we've arrived at the Fronteira Palace. Here you decide whether to just walk around the gardens and pay 7 euros, or pay for the full tour and enter the palace and see the intimacy of the family who still owns this old house. The full tour costs 17 euros. I thought it was a bit pricey compared to other places where you can enter more luxurious and historic buildings for the same price, but hey, I'll leave that up to you.🗺️🚙🌄
Bueno amigos llegamos al palacio de la Fronteira, aquí tú decides si solo recorrer los jardines y pagar 7 euros, o pagar el tour completo y entrar dentro del palacio y ver la intimidad de la familia que aún es dueña de esta antigua casa. El tour completo son 17 euros, me pareció un poco caro en comparación con otros sitios que por el mismo precio entras a arquitecturas más lujosas e históricas, pero bueno, lo dejo a tu elección. 🌍🍂🧭

In 1945, Dom Fernando was the one who founded this palace. Having no heirs, he created a foundation called: "Foundation of the Houses of Fonteira" practically founded with the mission of creating a cultural space where everyone can learn about the history of Portugal and architecture.🌍🌄
