Hola amigos aventureros les traigo una nueva aventura cargada de lindas fotos e historia Portuguesa, muchos no saben pero Portugal estuvo bajo el dominio arabe por siglos, la civilizacion que habito por cientos de años en el territorio Portugues se llamo "Moros" y dejaron un legado que hasta el dia de hoy se mantiene en una mezcla de cultura, mi visita en las calles de Mertola me ayudo a comprender un poco como los Portuguese aplican algunas tecnicas tradicionales que usaron los Moros tanto para la cocina o como la agricultura, en realidad existe un dia especial que se celebra en la aldea para conmemorar la influencia arabica dentro de la ciudad.🧭🌏🚩🏰

First of all, almost all the museums within Mertola are free and that gives us the possibility of visiting them all without spending a cent! There are more than 5 museums throughout the city and each one tells the history of the city under the rule of different civilizations. In reality, not only the Arabs were the first to arrive in Mertola, there are already historical records of people who lived next to the river. In the Iron Age, later it was the Romans and we could find a Romanesque museum too, the city has a little bit of everything. Lastly, don't forget to visit the castle!👀🧭🌏

Primero que nada casi todos los museos dentro de Mertola son gratis y eso nos da la posibilidad de visitarlos todos sin gastar un centimo! hay mas de 5 museos en toda la ciudad y cada uno cuenta la historia de la ciudad bajo el dominio de diferentes civilizaciones, en realidad no solo los arabes fueron los primeros en llegar a Mertola ya hay registros historicos de personas que habitaron al lado del rio en la era de hierro, posteriormente fueron los romanos y podriamos encontrar un museo romanico tambien, la ciudad tiene de todo un poco por ultimo no dejes de visitar el castillo!🙇‍♂️🍍

The city of Mertola only has three thousand inhabitants and has suffered numerous conquests over the years. Some of the most important wars in the country were fought here. The first king of Portugal displaced the Arabs from the territory in an important war that would conquer Mertola for several years however would be conquered again by the Arabs and this behavior occurred several times including later in the medieval era with the Spanish! He always had interest in the enemy because of his river, which connects the south with the rest of the country!🌏🏰👳‍♂️🙇‍♂️

La ciudad de Mertola solo tiene tres mil habitantes y ha sufrido numeros conquistas a lo largo de los años, aqui se libraron algunas de las guerras mas importantes del pais, el primer rey de Portugal desplazo a los arabes del territorio en una importante guerra que conquistaria Mertola por varios años sin embargo seria conquistada de nuevo por los Arabes y este comportamiento ocurrio varias veces incluyendo posteriormente en la era medieval con los españoles! siempre tuvo interes por el enemigo por causa de su rio, el cual comunica el sur con el resto del pais!🍍🌄🚩🧠

The first to inhabit the lands of Mertola were the Vigoths, who would eventually leave the city for the Carthaginians to occupy it and finally the Romans. This occurred between the centuries (VI-VIII) before and after Christ! Arriving more than 1020, the Romans had been defeated by the barbarians and their empire fell in Portugal in the 8th century, then the Arabs arrived and occupied Mertola for several centuries. It is incredible that it would be the Arabs who built the castle, one of the oldest in the country. to fortify the city that would be an excellent commercial port.🚩🍍🙇‍♂️

Los primeros en habitar las tierras de Mertola fueron los vicigodos, quienes eventualmente dejarian la ciudad para que la ocuparan los cartagineses y por ultimo los Romanos esto ocurrio entre los siglos (VI-VIII) antes y despues de cristo! llegando mas al 1020 los Romanos habian sido derrotado por los barbaros y su imperio cayo en Portugal en el siglo VIII entonces llegaron los arabes quienes ocuparian Mertola por varios siglos, es increible que serian los arabes en construir el castillo uno de los mas antiguos del pais para fortificar la ciudad que seria un excelente puerto comercial.🌏

The city is very well preserved by the chamber and a guide told me that there is a house that belongs to the chamber that is more than 500 years old, incredible, right? Small restorations were carried out there to keep it very original, walking on these stone streets that are hundreds of years old transports you to that medieval era when when night fell people went to their homes and the soldiers went out to the walls to protect the territory from the Spanish people👀🧭🌏

La ciudad se encuentra muy bien preservada por la camara y una guia me indico que hay una casa que pertenece a la camara que tiene mas de 500 años increible no? alli se realizaron pequeñas restauraciones para mantenerla muy original, caminar en estas calles de piedra con cientos de años te transporta a aquella epoca medieval cuando al caer la noche las personas iban a sus casas y los soldados salian a las murallas para resguardar el territorio de los españoles🙇‍♂️🍍

The first king of Portugal was a great soldier and belonged to the Christian order of the Crusaders and thanks to his military power he managed to defeat the Arabs! After the 1100th century when Mertola is definitely Portuguese territory, it converted to the Catholic Christian religion which is predominant in Europe, so we see in the city the church that is a main chapel with more than 500 years, and again Mertola shows its cultural mix .🧭🍍🚩

El primer rey de Portugal era un gran militar y pertenecio a la orden cristiana de los cruzados y gracias a su poder militar fue que consigue derrotar a los arabes! posteriormente al siglo 1100 cuando mertola es definitivamente territorio Portugues se convierte a la religion cristiana catolica el cual es predominante en europa, asi que vemos en la ciudad la iglesia que es una capilla principal con mas de 500 años, y nuevamente Mertola muestra su mezcla cultural.🌄👳‍♂️
