Soundpeats Force Pro Earphones
I have given up on finding my Sony W-100s... I had them on a work trip... and I'm prone to leaving them in various pockets in my coats and bags, but now, for the life of me... I can't find them anywhere. And I have been looking for them for about a month now... the last time I lost them, I was a bit too hasty and bought a JBL replacement, and of course, I found the Sonys before the delivery arrived! So, my wife now uses the JBLs...
... but this time, I'm pretty sure that I have lost the Sonys. And so, I started hunting around during the Amazon Prime sales to find a decent replacement, as I was sick of wearing proper headphones when I was doing the shopping!
Since the earbuds have become a thing with Apple and the various copies... well, it has been harder and harder to find regular earphones. I don't like the earbuds, they feel too insecure and I'm sure that I will lose them even more easily! My daughter has some that she got for Christmas, and I just didn't feel comfortable in them.
I was going to go for another Sony or JBL... but then I saw these interesting Soundpeats ones. I've never heard of the brand, but a quick search seemed like they might be an interesting balance of quality and price... and especially when they were on sale! So... why not... I'll try them out!
First impressions are important, and these earphones came in a little carrying case! I've never had a carrying case for something like this, so that is a neat bonus! Even if I don't ever use the carrying case for the earphones, I will definitely be using them for something!
Unpacking the carrying case, the earphones felt nicely constructed, the earpieces seemed hefty enough and had magnetic ends to keep them together when not in use. The part that goes around the neck also had a decent thickness of construction to it... something that is important in these designs as a cable that is too light means that they easily slide around your neck especially if you tend to only use one side like I normally do!
Simple controls... nothing fancy here.
... and unfurled, you can see the clear neck support construction. This is something that had really bugged me with some of the more recent attempts to do this sort of earphone design... too light in the neck, and it meant that the whole thing would end up slipping around your neck, partly due to the uneven weight (which would get worse the more it misbalanced...) and partly due to the lack of friction due to the smaller contact area with your skin.
At an initial hearing, the sound was pretty nice... full and loud enough, something that is quite important to me as I will often be listening to music as a musician and wanting as good a response as is possible in these smaller drivers.
... hmmm, these are attachments for the earpieces. I had read in the reviews that it does make it more comfortable to wear them... but I've never had an issue with these sorts of earpieces, and I honestly have no idea which way around they are supposed to attach. Sadly, the manual didn't seem to give much of a clue, so I will have search around to see how they fit... and if they even make a difference for me!
So, currently, a pleasant surprise... but they haven't quite gotten a full workout from travelling yet. But I do think that these will a nice pair to be using from a sound point of view!

They do look nice...
That travelling case is a real bonus 🔥🔥🔥
Looks big enough that it could be used as something of a wallet or phone pouch...
Yeah, I think I will end up using the travelling pouch for SD card storage or thing little cables.
Congratulations!

I had some similar to these but not at all similar. These ones look much better quality haha, cheers!
I do like these sorts of earphones, I'm not keen on the ones that just sit in your ear... I always feel like they are going to fall out!
