Saludos estimados amigos de Zona Geek. Por acá llego para compartir con ustedes mi experiencia con una aplicación cuya función específica está dirigida a corredores o personas que diariamente hacen caminatas.

Debo comenzar diciendo que no suelo usar muchas aplicaciones. Sin embargo, una que otras me parecen atractiva hasta que me decepcionan. Si eso sucede, le doy a desinstalar y listo.

Una ventaja de las App es el buen marketing que tienen. Cualquier persona puede entusiasmarse porque para algo puede servir. En mi caso instalé hace una semana la App Leap Fieness.

Para el manejo de la aplicación me complique un poco. Fue mi hijo quien me sugirió usarla pero, no me dijo como funcionaba. Por mi propia cuenta comencé a observar todo lo que ofrece. Aquí tuve mi primer choque, todo viene escrito en inglés.

Greetings dear friends of Zona Geek. Here I come to share with you my experience with an application whose specific function is aimed at runners or people who do daily walks.

I must start by saying that I don't use many applications. However, I find one or two of them appealing until they disappoint me. If that happens, I hit uninstall and that's it.

One advantage of Apps is the good marketing they have. Anyone can get excited because it can be useful for something. In my case I installed the Leap Fieness App a week ago.

For the management of the application I got a little complicated. It was my son who suggested me to use it but, he didn't tell me how it worked. On my own I started to observe everything it offers. Here I had my first shock, everything is written in English.

Pienso que estas aplicaciones deberían tener opción para traducir. Con tan bue marketing que manejan no deberían tener fallos. Bien, en vista de esta situación decidí traducir algunas palabras aunque ya había metido la pata.

En mi primer día con la aplicación salí a caminar la montaña, activé la App y a la cuenta de tres inicia el recorrido mostrando la ruta por donde transitaba. Una ventaja de la App es que puede usarse sin Internet. Pero, creo que presenta un gran fallo si llevamos el teléfono en una mochila.

I think these applications should have the option to translate. With such good marketing they should not have bugs. Well, in view of this situation I decided to translate some words even though I had already messed up.

On my first day with the application I went for a walk in the mountain, I activated the App and at the count of three it started the route showing the route where I was walking. One advantage of the App is that it can be used without Internet. But, I think it has a big flaw if we carry the phone in a backpack.

_{El primer día como les digo no pude notar mucho porque al culminar la ruta, en vez de hacer clic sobre el botón finalizar hice clic en resetear. Borré todo aunque inteligentemente quedé con un capture jaja.}

The first day as I say I could not notice much because when I finished the route, instead of clicking on the finish button I clicked on reset. I erased everything but cleverly I was left with a capture haha.

I must admit that the error was human. It was me who in the middle of anxiety, pressed buttons everywhere.

El día anterior había llovido, tampoco me favoreció el tiempo, me tocó trotar dentro de una cancha de basquet y es esa la razón por la cual la marca azul se ve algo extraña jajaja.

No importa, seguimos... llegó el segundo día y la marca de los kilómetros no fue reconocida por la App. Aquí cabe la posibilidad mencionada anteriormente, llevé el teléfono en un morral.

Sufrí otra desilusión porque sentí falta de información en la publicidad. Aquí volví a equivocarme porque cuando observo en detalle la imagen de Leap Fiteness... el corredor lleva el celular en su brazo.

The day before it had rained, the weather was not in my favor either, I had to jog inside a basketball court and that's the reason why the blue mark looks a little strange hahaha.

No matter, we continue... the second day came and the kilometers mark was not recognized by the App. Here fits the possibility mentioned above, I carried the phone in a backpack.

I suffered another disappointment because I felt lack of information in advertising. Here I was wrong again because when I look in detail at the image of Leap Fiteness... the runner is carrying the cell phone on his arm.

Esto nos pasa cuando no prestamos atención a las informaciones. La imagen muestra como llevar el celular. Desde esa ubicación correcta del teléfono la App logra medir a través de ella, las pulsaciones del corazón y kilómetros recorridos. Mis pulsaciones el primer día quedaron en 0%.

Bien, aún y cuando cometí errores, la aplicación no es cien por ciento efectiva. En la segunda caminata marcó 0.34km en 45 minutos ¡Imposible! Esta vez llevé el celular en la pierna aunque ya sé... dice en que debe llevarse en el brazo. Pues, el tercer día tampoco funcionó.

This happens when we do not pay attention to information. The image shows how to carry the cell phone. From this correct location of the phone, the App is able to measure through it, the heart rate and kilometers traveled. My heart rate on the first day was 0%.

Well, even though I made mistakes, the app is not one hundred percent effective. On the second walk it read 0.34km in 45 minutes - impossible! This time I carried the cell phone on my leg even though I know... it says to carry it on your arm. Well, the third day it didn't work either.

A la cuarta parece que fue la vencida. Hoy sí, hoy al menos me dio la satisfacción de ver los kilómetros recorridos en una hora y cuarenta y cinco minutos. No creo que se mi mejor tiempo pero ya comienza a resultar.

Hablando un poco más sobre la App. Les cuento que trae unos planes sugeridos para quienes inician con la actividad. Solo digo: no se ilusionen con ellos porque la publicidad es exagerada.

The fourth time seems to have been the charm. Today yes, today at least gave me the satisfaction of seeing the kilometers covered in one hour and forty-five minutes. I don't think it's my best time but it's starting to work out.

Talking a little more about the App. I tell you that it brings some suggested plans for those who start with the activity. I'm just saying: don't get your hopes up because the publicity is exaggerated.

Hasta ahora parece funcional sin embargo, aún no la recomiendo hasta tanto no tener clara su funcionalidad y efectividad con el transcurso de los días.

De igual manera agradezco a los creadores de esta aplicación quienes por cierto, tengo entendido no son deportistas. Punto negativo para ellos je,je. Veamos como funciona los próximos días.

So far it seems functional, however, I still do not recommend it until I am clear about its functionality and effectiveness over the course of the days.

I also thank the creators of this application who, by the way, I understand are not athletes. Negative point for them heh,heh. Let's see how it works in the coming days.
