Tailoring Tomorrow: The Child I Choose to Build

In a future where dynamically science and soul meet, I stand tall at the gene selection interface, staring much into the digital cradle of possibility. Of course it's no longer just about what the nature gives, it's now about what we choose. If by chance i had the opportunity to tailor the behavioral traits of my offspring any day, I’d genuinely blend the essence of who I am with the best of what humanity could certainly become.

  • Before I proceed, I'm expressing my joy to the audience and the SciFi Multiverse Community, who never allow us bored weeks in and out.

I want my child to inherit my resilience. Life genuinely speaking hasn’t been that kind, but of course I’ve stood firm. That grit, the fire that keeps burning even in the storm, I’d pass on without any hesitation. Paired totally with empathy, a trait I so value deeply, they would not just survive the world but help heal it as well.

  • I would love and tailor them to have a questioning mind, just like mine. Curious, always 🤔wondering and always seeking, not blindly accepting only the surface of what's given but diving into depths others do fear to do. With this, it's obvious i can certainly embed discipline, to balance passion with patience. Because in life what good is potential without control!

Phenotypically, I only imagine my child with a very expressive eyes, windows of truth and radiating warmth and intelligence. Their smile should always disarm things like fear and spark hope. Genotypically, I'd do well to ensure they’re resistant to hereditary ailments, which I know what it takes to do that and how disciplined I am to achieve it. A strong body but even stronger in emotional intelligence is my 💡 ideal.

Though in this my imagined future, I wouldn’t perfectly craft a perfect child, but rather I’d sculpt a purpose-driven one. Not only designed to dominate, but to inspire, to create, and to connect. A child who truly knows that strength isn’t in fists, but in it's in forgiveness.

Conclusion

As a curious person navigating this rapidly evolving universe, I do believe that if my children carry forward my best traits:— resilience, curiosity, empathy, and discipline, they would be so exceptional not just by design, but by their impact to the society. The true miracle here wouldn’t be that I could choose their traits myself, but that i choose love, humanity, and purpose above perfection.

There are many traits that we possess that we would love our children to possess, we have seen how these traits brought us and we think it will do same for them.

The resilience part is specifically important for the child to navigate the world today. Having a curious mind would be an added advantage.

Of course it's no longer just about what the nature gives, it's now about what we choose

What nature gives us is not arbitrary....it is purely governed by the cause-effect principle.

If you have got something it is purely according to "karma". So to make a choice different from "what Nature wants to give us" is difficult.

I would love and tailor them to have a questioning mind, just like mine. Curious, always 🤔wondering and always seeking

I like this. The faculty of reason is the main driver of Human progress. And freedom embarks from that.

Because in life what good is potential without control!

It very much resembles Eudomonia(flourishing life), the golden mean between two extremes. We can develop it by inculcating character traits like temperance, wisdom, and courage.

A strong body but even stronger in emotional intelligence is my 💡 ideal.

Perfect.

Raising my children has made me to understand that a lot of factors actually play a role in sculpting our children. Our partners, our families, immediate and extended and so many natural factors, all contribute to who our children ultimately turns out to become.
One of my children took after my own grandmother, in looks and temperament! How do I explain that? We must do our best in raising our children to whom we long for them to become, praying that some unwanted factors do not come to play.
