A few days ago, I found an interesting sight in my garden, precisely in an area with damp soil and full of rotting leaves. At that time, my attention was drawn to a group of unique small mushrooms. After I looked closer, this mushroom had a shape that closely resembled a coral reef. Its rare beauty made me immediately take my camera to capture the moment.

This mushroom is Stereopsis hiscens, a species that I have rarely found before. With its funnel-shaped body and whitish edges, this mushroom looks like a natural work of art growing from the ground. Its soft brownish color combined with a smooth surface texture, makes it stand out even though it is small. I imagine if this mushroom was under the sea, people would definitely think that this was part of a coral reef ecosystem.

I approached the mushroom carefully, not wanting to damage its habitat. I tried to take a photo angle that emphasized its beauty and details. With the help of a macro lens, I managed to capture every fold and small texture on the body of this mushroom. Don't forget, I used a dark background so that its shape looked more dramatic and prominent.

This observation reminded me of how rich and amazing life is all around us, even in something as often overlooked as this tiny mushroom. Stereopsis hiscens is not only a wonder of mycology, but also proof that beauty is everywhere if we are willing to look for it. I feel fortunate to have found and documented this mushroom in my own garden, a place where tiny life like this can thrive freely.
