That afternoon, approaching dusk, I walked around a small forest area in my village, hoping to find something interesting to photograph. The weather was a little cloudy, and I was a little doubtful about getting good results with the fading natural light. However, among the fallen leaves and dry twigs, my eyes fell on a very beautiful mushroom—a Retiboletus ornatipes mushroom.

Its bright yellow color contrasted with the dark soil around it, and its texture looked smooth with a slight sheen reflecting the remnants of the afternoon's humidity. This mushroom was so captivating that I couldn't pass up the opportunity to capture it. I immediately took out my camera and added a little light to make the capture more dramatic and maximal.

With the additional light, the details of this mushroom were visible—the texture of its yellowish stem to the water droplets decorating its cap as if emphasizing its presence in the middle of the damp forest floor. Every time I capture mushrooms like this, I always feel amazed by the natural beauty hidden beneath our feet, often unnoticed.
