"Portrait of Two Amazing Insects"
Today I want to share my photography results with all my friends when I photographed two very interesting types of insects. Both of these insects have unique characteristics that make them perfect subjects for macro photography. Below is the story of each photo and identification of these insects.
The first insect is the giraffe beetle: when I first saw this insect, I was immediately fascinated by its unique body shape. This insect is known as the #GiraffeWeevil or in other words it is called the giraffe beetle. They are known for their long necks, especially males who use their necks to build nests and fight with other males.
Photographing #GiraffeWeevil requires extra patience. I found this insect on a large green leaf. Provides a beautiful contrast to its bright red body color. To capture fine details on his body, I used a macro lens with a small aperture to get a fairly deep depth of field.
For the second insect: Blister Beetle
The second insect I photographed was the #BlisterBeetle or in Indonesian known as the Toxic beetle. These beetles are known for their ability to secrete chemicals that can cause skin irritation in humans. Their striking body color, with a red and black pattern, is a warning sign to predators.
Photographing these beetles also has its own challenges. They are very active and constantly move on the leaves. I had to be very quick in adjusting the camera focus to get sharp results. I chose a natural green background to highlight the contrasting body color.
Every time I photograph insects, I feel like I am exploring a new world full of wonders. By using macro photography techniques, we can see details that are often missed by the naked eye. We hope you enjoy this story and feel inspired to explore the micro world around us!
NOTE: I first wrote the article above in Indonesian, which is my own language, then I translated it using English with the help of Goggle.
