"Hygrocybe miniata Mushroom Photographing Challenge Results"
Some time ago, I found a beautiful little mushroom in my oil palm plantation. This mushroom is known as (Hygrocybe miniata) and its bright red color immediately caught my attention. At first, I only found one of this little mushroom, which was even smaller than the tip of my finger. Since I didn’t bring any camera equipment at that time, I left it for a while to get my photography equipment.
However, when I returned to the location, I was surprised because the mushroom had been bitten on its umbrella, probably by a cricket that happened to be passing by. Although a little disappointed, I still took a picture of this mushroom because its beauty was still shining, especially from its bright yellow stem.
After photographing the first mushroom, I decided to look around the area and luckily found another one of the same kind. This time, before taking the picture, I compared its size to my index finger to show how small it was.
Using a macro lens, I then photographed every detail of the mushroom, from the fine fibers on the underside of the umbrella to its captivating colors.
As I continued my exploration, I also found a pair of mushrooms (Hygrocybe miniata) growing side by side on the moss. The sight was so stunning that I didn't miss the opportunity to photograph them from several different angles. To make the mushrooms stand out even more, I edited the background to black. That way, the red and yellow really "pop" in the photo.
Photographing this mushroom was a challenge, especially because of its small size and the slightly dark conditions. However, it was a very enjoyable experience, and I am satisfied with the end result. I am happy to share this beautiful moment with the photography community.
