"Hope For The Weak Butterfly☹️"
This trip took me to a garden owned by a local resident in Punteut Village, Sawang District. When I stepped into the garden, I was struck by a sight that invited concern. A small butterfly was lying on the ground, looking weak and unable to fly. I don't know for sure what kind of butterfly this was, but its beauty still radiated even in that condition. I felt very sad to see it, I don't know what had happened. Maybe it was poisoned by the pesticide used in the garden, or maybe it was drunk by something else.
Well under this tree I found it🥲
Even sadder, I found several other butterflies that had suffered the same fate. Some were dead, and some had fallen into the water in a small irrigation channel that flowed beside the garden. The first butterfly I photographed was lying on a small branch of a dry sengon tree, not far from the tree.
Well, here it is clear that there is a small irrigation in this garden.
My heart was moved to see it lying on the ground, vulnerable to attacks by ants or other animals. I decided to move it to a safer place, hoping that it would recover and fly again. I carefully placed it on another branch, and then moved it to a large fern leaf to keep it off the ground. After that, I took several photos of the butterfly in various poses. Although it looked weak, I still had high hopes that it would recover soon and return to the wild, flying with its beautiful wings.
After finishing taking pictures, I continued exploring the garden. The green scenery and life in the garden made me continue to look for other unique moments. Not long after, my attention was drawn to a vine that was growing well in one corner of the garden. What caught my attention was not only the plant, but also its very unique fruits. Its shape resembles bumps, similar to bulbifera fruit. At first glance, this fruit looks like the famous expensive truffle mushroom. For me, the uniqueness of this fruit is so extraordinary, that I felt I had to immortalize it in several photos.
My journey this time was filled with moments that invited mixed feelings. From the sadness of seeing a small butterfly lying weakly, to the awe of the natural wonders around me. I hope that this story can be a reminder for all of us to care more about nature and the living creatures in it, and to appreciate the uniqueness offered by every corner of life around us.
This journey not only gave me the opportunity to observe, but also reminded me of how fragile life in nature is, and how important it is for us to maintain the balance of the ecosystem for the survival of the small creatures that we often ignore.
