That morning, after a night of rain, I decided to go to the small forest in the village to hunt for insect photos. Fresh and humid air makes the atmosphere ideal for many insects to come out of hiding. This time, my goal was to find and photograph insects from the genus Canthidium, which is famous for its unique body shape and diverse colors.

Armed with my camera and favorite macro lens, I started along the familiar trail. Before long, my attention was drawn to a pile of leaves that were slightly moving. There, among the wet leaves, I saw a metallic green Canthidium reflecting the morning sun. These insects appear to be busy burying small balls of soil, an activity typical of them.

NOTE: I first wrote the article above in Indonesian, which is my own language, then I translated it using English with the help of Goggle.
