A few days ago, I was taking a leisurely walk around the villagers' gardens. At that time the weather was sunny, but the afternoon wind was starting to feel cool. I intended to look for something interesting to photograph, but for a long time I didn't find anything. Just when I was about to give up, suddenly my eyes fell on a green leaf with a small beetle with a very unique pattern on it.
It turned out to be Chlorophorus annularis, a beautiful beetle with ring-like patterns on its body. Its golden yellow body color with black lines really made it stand out on the green leaf. I immediately took out my macro lens and tried to approach it slowly.
What made it exciting was that this beetle turned out to be a bit "shy". As soon as I approached too quickly, it immediately moved to the bottom of the leaf, so I had to turn around to get a good angle. After several attempts and a little patience, I finally managed to capture some of its unique poses. One of them, it was busy moving as if looking for something on the surface of the leaf.
I just found out that Chlorophorus annularis really likes plants that are flowering or have dead wood. So, maybe it's looking for food or a place to lay eggs. Although its size is small, around 1-2 cm, the details of its body pattern really amaze me.
