We can bring extinct animal back with Metaverse

avatar

This is an interesting thing that I thought about recently. In one of the TV series, I saw someone taking a tour of Paris by sitting in their house. The experience is in such a way that someone is walking through the streets of Paris and that too from a first-person point of view. This is all possible today because of Virtual Reality. People create so many things with Virtual reality. I have also seen these VR goggles giving a nice experience for people who are visiting Zoo. This is going to be one of the biggest things and a very common thing in public recreation spots.

Metaverse is also a term that is slowly getting popularity. We still have not explored the metaverse and how VR can be used to build Metaverse. But I'm sure there should be a possibility to bring back our extinct animals with the help of Virtual Reality. Games have started using this facility. They create models for our extinct animals and imagination is also fed into that and the experience is enhanced for the users. This way the data we have about the extinct animals can be used to bring back the feeling or an experience similar to bringing them back to the real world.

Real feeling

There are some VR devices that already give a real feeling for virtual things. Not by just seeing things through the lens but the experience is spread across the whole body with some virtual connectivity. Scientists have been researching to find out how brain signals can be manipulated for someone who is viewing something using a VR device. This way only one of our eyes would be engaged in a VR scene but also our mind and whole body would be engaged.

When we are sitting in a room where we experience VR, the air in the surrounding and the other experiences will be the same. For example, if we are experiencing rain using VR, imagine we get to see the water droplets touching our bodies. This would be an awesome experience, right? Scientists are working on bringing a real feeling to these virtual things.

Extinct animals

We know very less about extinct animals. There have been movies on dinosaurs and other extinct animals and most of them are fantasy movies. We really don't know all the information about them. There are so many other species of animals currently in the state of extinction. With the help of Metaverse, we should be able to recreate this and bring the extinct animals back into reality. For example, if someone is visiting a zoo, they would be able to visit and know more about extinct species too in the form of VR devices.

I recently visited one of the Zoos near my place and I was able to see a separate zone for virtual reality where people were provided VR glasses to experience some activities of the animals. This was an enjoyable experience. I did not personally check myself but I did get a chance to speak to some of my friends who have experienced this. They mentioned that it was a great experience for them. Hopefully, we should be able to enjoy and visually see the extinct animals too with the facts we already know about them.

Creating more immersive virtual reality experiences that greatly mirror reality will be a game changer. Users will have the opportunity to virtually travel back into the past and experience what the environment look like. Seeing flying dragons will be epic :)

It would certainly be something special if one can see something like rain and also have the sensory experience of rain on the skin. Extinct animal could indeed "come alive" again.
The only disadvantages I can think of immediately is that this could become addictive. People wou;ld then lose more of their social and engagement skills.

Yes that's a true statement. There is a high possibility that this can become an addiction.

The way we see that this 3D technology is becoming very popular and it seems like we are sitting inside the forest and the animals are standing next to us and nowadays people like to watch movies inside this technology.

Yes that should be the next big thing. Movies with VR should be awesome to watch.
