Basic medicine is mandatory for every individual

These days the importance of knowing basic medicine is slowly vanishing. There are some household practices that are inherited from generations upon generations but these practices are now slowly reducing. People are creating more nuclear families and even in countries like India where living with parents and grandparents in the same house is still prevailing, this knowledge transfer is slowly reducing. We used to have a very good system in place where the ladies of the house when they cook, consider the health of every individual in the house and plan their dishes accordingly.

Basic medicine is very important to self-healing. We have to know about our bodies. Every individual's body is different and the genetic structure is different. Some information can be inherited but we have to give time to understand our body and know what works for us and what doesn't work for us and tune our body accordingly. For example, I eat a lot of ice cream and nothing happens to me and if my wife tastes just one spoon of Ice cream she will start getting issues. So understanding our own body and doing self-healing is important.

Inherited medicinal practices

As stated above it used to be a practice where the grandparents in the house or our parents used to know the common medicinal practices. For example, two times a year we were all given Castor oil to clean our stomachs. We mix it with something and drink it in the early morning to clean our stomachs the whole day. This was a natural way of cleaning the internal parts of the body, especially the digestive system. It was done two times a year and not more than that.

Similarly, Indian food always had a lot of spices that helped create a balance in our bodies. In alternative medicine, it is called a balance between air energy, fire energy, and water energy. It is said that if we consume our food accordingly, we can stay away from diseases. These were very common in the house; they knew what to cook on Mondays and what not to cook on Fridays. Today we don't know the real meaning of that and we slowly left that practice too.

Don't visit doctors very often

It is not essential that for every common problem we have in the body, we should be visiting the doctor. For kids, it can be important and for older people, it can be important to visit doctors frequently but otherwise, there is no need to visit doctors very often. We have to understand our body and whenever we have a sickness, we have to find the root cause by ourselves and then take remedial action. For example, if we have a throat infection, the first home remedy that is in common practice is to take 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric in hand, add 1 teaspoon of Cow ghee to it mix it, and consume it little by little. It can be done once or twice a day. If it doesn't work even after a day, may be good to visit a doctor before it becomes complicated.

There is also another problem with visiting doctors. Doctors might usually have a generic solution for a problem. Even though they study you, their solutions can be generic and may not necessarily work. For some simple problems, if you have taken some home remedies it would be gone in 5 days, and visiting a doctor and taking their medication would also take the same 5 days. But home remedies like food changes and lifestyle changes don't come with any side effects. In my case, I personally think that, for simple problems, we shouldn't be troubling the doctors too much.

Dogs pick their own medicines

I have observed the street dogs a lot. There is an open plot near my house and I have seen dogs looking for herbs there when they are not well. Usually, when dogs go pregnant, I have seen dogs eating some herbs from there. I have also noticed a few times when dogs eat things that are not digestible for them, they pick some herbs, eat them, and vomit everything. These are some remedies that dogs pick by themselves.

What we have to learn from this is that we also have such instincts that nature has given us. On top of that, we have our parents and grandparents teaching us many such practices (authentic). We have to observe that clearly and learn from them. It is good to learn some tips and tricks from our parents and grandparents because we share their genes and sometimes their remedial actions work for us too.

Never take a risk by not visiting doctors

When we read all the above things it can be very motivating not to visit a doctor at all and take all the remedies at home itself. But that thought is also wrong. We have to be very clear about what we choose. If we need a quick remedy for something, we can approach doctors with modern medicines that might carry a side effect. There are some good remedies available in alternative medicines or ancient medicines too. It can be a long-term solution but with minimal side effects. People can choose whichever works for them.

One thing we have to be very clear about is that we cannot solve all health-related problems with just home remedies alone. For some problems, we might have to visit the doctors to speed up the healing process but that is okay.

I can relate to the ice cream scenario here it is completely Ulta. My wife can eat a lot of Icecream without any issues, And I get headaches and colds.. :(

I always believed the doctor and Western medicine to be the nuclear option. Before going to them I usually try the house remedies, and they show the result very often. Excessive use of Western medicine can adversely affect the body, and one may get addicted to it. That was my case in 2013-2014. I was so used to the medicine for the headaches that I couldn't go without them even when there was no headache.

Yeah we should also believe our traditional medicine and use it whenever it is appropriate.

Just like that, every person has his own food test and every person likes different things, so it is better not to give someone something that he does not like and not to say that it is you must eat, it makes a person sick and even if medicine is given, then one person should not take another person's medicine at all, even if both people have the same problem.

Understanding the basics of medicine is critical for every person to maintain their health and well-being. This empowers people to make informed decisions about their health and seek appropriate medical care when needed. One aspect of basic medicine that is often overlooked is sexual health. As the Gainswave page highlights, regular ejaculation is important for men's sexual health and overall well-being. By incorporating this knowledge into their understanding of basic medicine and how often should men ejaculate, people can prioritize aspects of their sexual health along with other important health considerations. Thus, taking a holistic approach to basic medicine includes recognizing the importance of sexual health practices such as regular ejaculation to men's overall health and well-being.
