Successful hand transplantation

In 1998, the first successful hand transplant was performed in France. It was carried out in Leon by two surgeons: French and Australian.

Clint Hallam. He underwent the world's first hand transplant in 1998

Previous attempts failed, there were no immunosuppressants that prevented transplant rejection.

This time the operation, which lasted thirteen hours, yielded results. But the patient turned out to be negligent, did not develop a hand and did not take medication. As a result, after 27 months, the arm had to be amputated.

But in most other cases, the outcome was positive.

Today, about 100 hand transplantation operations have been performed in the world.

I write with the help of an online translator, so there are inaccuracies, I apologize. I meant that he did not exercise, did not train the muscles on his arm. I hope my translator did a better job this time :)
