Angular distance, measures the apparent distance between two objects in the sky as seen from an observer's perspective. Instead of a linear measurement like miles or kilometers, it quantifies the angle formed by two imaginary lines extending from the observer to each of the two objects.

The angular distance is measured in degrees, arcminutes, or arcseconds. A full circle is 360 degrees, each degree has 60 arcminutes, and each arcminute has 60 arcseconds. This concept is fundamental in astronomy for locating celestial objects and understanding their relative positions in the celestial sphere.
