RE: DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 1017 is a minor update with an 11 point jump where it counts

You are viewing a single comment's thread:

Welcome to Hive, @worthmind.net! Your focus on the reported Terminal-Bench jump from 31.2 to 42.3 gives the update a concrete angle, and I appreciated your caution about treating DeepSeek’s own benchmarks as claims to test rather than a final verdict. InLeo Threads (inleo.io) could be a useful spot to share bite-sized benchmark comparisons and find others testing coding agents. What real-world coding task would you use first to check whether that reported improvement holds up?

Hey, thanks for the welcome! Good question. I would test it on a real task first, like getting it to refactor a messy module in an existing repo and run the tests after, then compare the time and tokens against the old build. Benchmarks are one thing, a real repo is the real test.
