Greetings, this is my first video, which is based on an insect that looks like a bug and a beetle due to its anatomy, it is very amazing about this species: Pachylis nervosus is a species of insect that belongs to the Cerambycidae family, it is known as part of longcorns. This species is native to South America, which I liked to share was its colors, its large very striking legs, as well as its long and thin body, with long and strong legs that allow it to move agilely through the environment, it is evident that It has a small head and long, thin antennae that are used to detect scent and the presence of food or a partner.
Now in reference to its dark brown, black, orange coloration, its body is covered by a hard and resistant exoskeleton, it is large with an approximate size of 3 to 4 cm, as it is a longicorn it is capable of flying thanks to its thin and transparent wings, other important information or data is a herbivorous insect that feeds on the bark, the wood of trees, shrubs, dry leaves, it has strong jaws to cut the bark and wood in order to extract the sap and cellulose , which are their main sources of food.
The taxonomic classification of Pachylis nervosus is as follows: Kingdom: Animalia, Phylum: Arthropoda, Class: Insecta, Order: Coleoptera, Family: Cerambycidae, Genus: Pachylis, Species: Pachylis nervosus, Animalia > Arthropoda > Insecta > Coleoptera > Cerambycidae > Pachylis nervosus.
