Floor Push Button

An ordinary electric push button can he used for a floor push button by placing it on a bracket or shelf attached to a joist, as shown, and using a nail for the extension push.
A 1/4-in. hole is bored through the floor, also through a small piece of wood fastened beneath the door, at the right place to direct the nail so that it will strike directly upon the small black knob of the push button.
The nail should be just long enough to rest lightly on the knob.

Kurt Saxon thought civilization would have collapsed by now.
He spent the majority of his life collecting knowledge of home based business.
His goal was for all his readers to survive at a more comfortable level than those that were less provident.

He knew the importance of communicating at a level folks could understand.
Most of what he has compiled for our benefit can be easily understood by everybody.

He also includes a subtle sense of humor.

You can find the majority of his life's work here.

Such a device would trigger a trap door to the alligator-filled moat with facility.

Thanks!

I usually try to make them pee their pants with a loud snap.
They can't put things back together, so there is no denying someone was there.
I discarded the gassing idea when I set one of my snappers off one morning letting the dog out.
She was shy about that door opening for weeks.

When I was young and stupid, I had an enemy - or so I was told by his ex, so I booby trapped my patio gate electrically. The landlady did my laundry and tripped the zapper trying to deliver my clean and folded clothes.

Didn't up my rent, so everything was cool. Texas had really overbuilt it's housing at the time.

Yeah the fafo learning curve is steep on booby traps.
The control freaks aren't much on letting their privilege extend out, either.
Check you local case law.
