I love that your list goes from high-tech AI ethics all the way back to gardening and canning. It’s a brilliant irony that to survive a high-tech future, we need to become as resilient as our grandparents were.

Even if we don't need to rely on those skills I think it will give us confidence to know we could survive something drastic if we needed to. Once we're fully through this transition there's a good chance life will become infinitely easier for us but this transitionary period could be bumpy.
