Keep Fit & Strong...or... Get That Way...

Did you know that physical exercise helps improve brain function? So, if you're already smart, working out can make you even smarter. If you're dumb, well... it can help in that regard too.

I'm not interested in getting into all the scientific details as to how this is possible; but, if you're adamant about finding out, USE A FREAKIN SEARCH ENGINE (There... I said it...!!!)

100_3072.JPG

Some people hate bloggers like me who omit evidence, or links to studies that support their claims. I really don't care, if you're that type... You're probably as lazy as I am, not taking the time to look shit up for yourself😏

Exercise can also improve your mood, sense of self-worth, relieve stress and a bunch of stuff like that too. It has something to do with the release of Feel-Good chemicals from various organs of the body, upon the brain signaling such activity. (Look it up for yourself... if you don't believe me)

I really don't care if you believe me or not. It works for me and a hundred million, thousand, quad-trillion other people who experienced such a phenomena over many centuries on planet Earth.

Would you rather I get technical, confusing and boring by citing the science behind such claims, or do you want the straight, experienced truth, in an easy, light-hearted and entertaining manner?

100_3078.JPG

I've studied this stuff from about the age of twelve. Biology became my favorite academic course of study, once exposed to it in High School. Hell... it was the first and only class that I ever submitted material for extra credit (Yes...I liked it that much)

Later in life, I ran a gym and served as a personal trainer. One of my college jaunts, was within the field of health science. For these reasons, you can trust in whatever I, ever say, about anything... at any time... for eternity...!!!

ANYWAYzzzzzzzzzz......... This is all besides the point... especially since I forgot what my point was going to be.

Today was a good day at the Gym. It was back and leg day for me. I do a split routine. Some of you know what that is; the rest of you can go and Google it... you might learn something worth knowing😎

Basically, a split routine is when someone trains different body-parts on separate days, rather than the entire body in one day. It's mostly practiced by people who train with weights and intensely...

Otherwise, you'd have to spend about four to six hours in the gym on workout days, and reach a point within that period of time, where you're burnt out and just going through the motions. (A waste of time and energy)

100_3077.JPG

As you can probably tell from the pictures, this gym is not the prettiest or most modern... it's kind of old and grungy... but, at least it has all the right equipment for a Heavy Duty workout.

If you're not into getting huge muscles and extreme strength, then you don't have to concern yourself with any of this heavy duty type training... At least get to a gym or Fitness Center and start doing something...

It doesn't matter what age you are; it's truly... "never too late" to make improvements to your health.

Modern day Fitness Centers have all the machines you need to whip your ass in shape. You never even have to lift a plate to the mechanized monsters... they've all got a weight-stack with a sectorizing pin you pull out and insert at the point you want.

Easy-Peasy...

Well, my friends... that's about all I have to say for now. I'll check in with you down the road a piece.

Stay well, or get that way.

Ciao

oh, do oyu want 100POB tokens as a balance to the 100 you gave me? (around 300% profit for yourself - plus the other payouts i gave back - I have no idea how much- and I aint going checking - I recon around the 60 steem/hive, in my estimation.

The point being - would sir find that an acceptable profit taking exercise?

edit - because i'm shite at math - it's closer to 500% profit!(in my guestimations)

That would be fine... I wasn't keeping track either. Are you planning to leave the platform? I've been on a break for a few days and came back, not quite understanding your recent posts.

You're plenty of dollars up - that's for sure - my pleasure.

No I'm not planning to leave...just venting ..bigger things are at hand.

The recent kefuffle was me destroying a midwits arguments, them going all 'victim menatlity' ' poor me'...blah... blah...just the usual woke mentality - nothing new.
A predictable behavior that I couldn't have showcased better as a stereotype of the midwit psychology in action, not if I'd tried...

People are waking up.

I'll send the dosh over in the next hour or so - I can't cook and send money, the stress would be too much for this gentle heart, to bear..

Planet Fitness is fine for general fitness...not good enough for serious strength and muscle growth type training.

Made a link for anyone that needs a quick link to the search engine. https://bfy.tw/QmG2

Some people hate bloggers like me who omit evidence, or links to studies that support their claims.

Who are these lunatics and where are their parents? People are too swept up in the recent pandemic to realise that we've had one going on for decades, one of stupidity.

Not a fan of huge muscles myself, but I am training for extreme strength so I can reduce the risk of injury while working on the job. I've definitely noticed a clarity in my thinking from regular exercise though, so studies and research aside, that is enough confirmation for me.

Not everyone wants to look like Hercules, and most that do... fail in their attempt. It's an extremely difficult thing to achieve- especially without chemical enhancement. Building strength sure helps make manual labor easier, with reduced chance of injury.

Self-discovery and actualization brings wisdom.

Ah! No wonder I am so smart. I walk cum jog everyday - weather permitting, for one and a half hours.

Glad to see you posting again, my hero. When you disappeared for a couple of days, I was afraid you have proven the flat-earth believers right by falling off the edge of the earth. 😎

I am sitting a lot at a computer. How many hours a week do you train in the gym?

How many hours a week do you train in the gym?

On average, about four - five hours per week (1 hr. per workout) My cardio training is at home mostly for about 20 - 30 minutes, three - four times per week.

Who is the fat fuck that downvoted this post!!!

Let's be real... I work out everyday of my life, but there is a reason behind it. I don't talk about it very often, but I might be kinda crazy (I mean "one flew over the cuckoo's nest" crazy), and there's only 2 things that help me have a normal, creative, balanced life. Weed and working out, they go hand in hand, and without it I would be a skinny ass ball of nerve and insecurities, ready to be "processed" to the next camp.

I don't go to gym because I don't like people, so I hang on branches like Tarzan, very healthy and well adjusted things. I talk to trees, they don't talk back, it's a win win situation.

You don't need a GYM. Fuck it, I am making a video today to prove it...

The "fat fuck" downvote was from account coininstant, that is now gone. I've never interacted with that account but suspect it had something to do with posting from POB community that is presently under attack by some users.

Or... maybe just another, pussy-assed, dumb troll, like the rest who use their downvoting power in a malevolent way, instead of the way it was intended to help protect the reward pool.

ANYWAY @edprivat... I know you at least worked out in some way shape or form from a past post and I'm happy to hear you experienced the direct benefit, as well as those extended benefits few even realize occur from such regular practice.

I agree, "you don't need a Gym" but it is a convenient way of going about building muscle for the average bloke; especially if they don't live close to the woods where they can swing from trees and hurl boulders.

Fortunately, I do live near forest land finally, since leaving NYC and even live IN the woods for short spells😏 (I'm not fond of most people either- I prefer non-human animals) I also train at home in my dungeon gym, besides other places.

Oh... and that weed you smoke seems to help in a variety of ways for workouts... I heard it enhances stamina/endurance. I tried it and found that it actually does- except I use it sub-lingually in liquid form these days.

I understand your stance on gym, I don't know but I feel very uncomfortable grunting in front other people, men or women. I always thought gyms were a place where people find mating partners.

I've been telling everyone that cannabis has vasodilating properties, but people don't understand that if you mix it with tobacco, it cancels the good effects. In general; smoking is bad anyway, you can always eat it and gain the benefits.

I am proud of you @angryman, people don't understand how good it is to work out. It will extend your life span by at least 10 years. The older we get, the more our muscles deteriorate.

I actually shot a video of my gyming from home, I might post it tomorrow I will let you know! I'll tag you of course. I show all my bodyweight exercises requiring no equipment at all, except a tree.

I always thought gyms were a place where people find mating partners.

Not so much, with the old dingy, smelly sweaty Gyms of my younger days with only men in them. Yet, I did have a guy follow me into the shower room when I was 16 years old who stood staring at me me, saying "you have a nice body...young and tempting..." I ran the hell back to the locker room and put my clothes back on as quick as I could.

I smoked off and on (cigs) for many years... even then, it didn't stop me from training. People should not wait to quit a bad habit, before beginning a new good habit... the good habit usually at least, in part cancels out the bad.

I'm 71 now and have zero health issues. I'm sure it has a lot to do with exercise, preparing mostly my own food to eat, having quit drinking in my thirties and never addicted to hard drugs or pharmaceuticals. Otherwise, I lived a rather typical fucked up lifestyle in a toxic environment, dealing with toxic people.😎

I'll probably run across your post... I check my friend feed regularly.

I smoked ciggies for 20 years also, and still played soccer every week at the time. I prefer my health without it though. Sometimes I tried to have a puff, and even a full cigarette the other day, but I can't feel that it's not my drug anymore, just not enjoyable at all.

71 and still workin out? That's impressive!!!
