The future possibility of traveling to a habitable exoplanet

Would you be willing to travel to a habitable exoplanet as a colonist?

You would have to see what circumstances you would have on Earth to leave the planet.

If you have to think twice before going to live in another country, it is logical to think long and hard about going to another planet.

I don't see myself as the protagonist of "Moonshot", traveling to another planet for a short time to see his girlfriend.

Also, you would have to consider what you are leaving behind and what the trip would be like.

It is not the same to settle on Naboo with a ship that allows you to make annual trips to Corusant, with hyperluminal speed, to put a simile, than to do it with a ship like the one in "The 100" where more than a century passes since they start the trip from Earth no matter how much they get into ecstasy.

Or if you knew that it is a generational ship where you are going to live the rest of your life so that your great-grandchildren know the planet you colonize.

The greater the relinquishment involvement, the more unlikely I would see it as cheering me on.

Another point would be the conditions of colonization.

The ones we see in "Crater" are a death trap. Abusive travel costs would reduce the likelihood that I would do it. And going into debt for life, to be a slave to the corporation of the day, is not my cup of tea.

It is true that we start from the fact that the area is more or less stable and everything is ready for the arrival of the settlers, but we cannot omit that it involves logistical risks and even more difficult is what role to play.

We humanists have many concerns, but it is hard enough to be valued in the terrestrial world, let alone in an interplanetary colony where scientists and corporations run everything.

I would do it if I had nothing to lose that would tie me to Planet Earth, the conditions were not onerous and I felt I could contribute something to the space colony.

I would like to think that, even if it were similar, because it needs to meet conditions for human life today, it would still be very different in life forms from those present in our current day to day life.
