The evolution of the robot

Theoretically the robot has evolved

It arose in antiquity as the concept of the golem or other magical creatures based on rocks or earth, then da vinci would create the sketch of the automaton which would perpetuate the idea of an artificial being but taking into account the materials of the time (iron armor).

Then we jumped to the industrial revolution with the invention of the first machines that did not need human strength but had no intelligence or wisdom in their actions.

With the arrival of the 50s onwards robotics begins to stop being something futuristic and begins to be implemented as something possible in the short term and now we are here in the 20s of the new millennium with robots themselves and artificial intelligences serving the citizen of today.

Just like a biological species, the process from the magical golems to the robots of today took a long time and countless trial and error trials through multiple people in different cultures, times and nations, it was not a linear process, it was a branching one in which many times we had to relearn what others learned but failed to teach.

The robot did not evolve but the concept did, it does it through us in the same way that the beak of a bird did not evolve from the lip of a fish separately, it was the bird who through generations of life and death gave it the necessary shape to survive.
