Ring of fire eclipse

A ring of fire eclipse is an annular solar eclipse, which occurs when the Moon is at its farthest point from the Earth and therefore does not completely cover the solar disc.

This creates an effect in which the Sun is seen as a bright ring surrounded by a "ring of fire".

During this type of eclipse, the Moon appears to be smaller than the Sun in the sky, resulting in a "ring of fire" appearance around the Sun.

It is an impressive phenomenon to witness.

If you have the opportunity to witness an annular eclipse, always remember to take precautions and protect your eyes properly.

Never look directly at the Sun without proper protection, unless you want to turn your vision into a permanent, dazzling "ring of fire"...

A solar annular eclipse will occur today and will briefly darken the skies over the western United States and Central and South America.
