Download and Configuration for Installing Windows 11 on Linux VMware Workstation.

In the previous blog, we learned how to download and install VMware Workstation on a Linux system, and also fixed the GCC not found issue. Today, we are going to learn how to download and configure to install Windows 11 on VMware Workstation for Linux.
Download the Windows 11 ISO image file from the official Microsoft website.
- Visit https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows11 and in the Download Windows 11 Disk Image (ISO) for x64 devices section, select Windows 11 (multi-edition ISO for x64 devices)

- Then click on Confirm

- After that, select the product language and click on Confirm

- Then click on 64-bit Download, download will start in a few seconds.

Configure Windows 11 for installation on Linux VMware Workstation
Open the VMware Workstation and Create a New Virtual Machine.

Here, select Typical and click on Next.

Here, select Use ISO image, then Browse and select the downloaded Windows 11 ISO image file, and click on Next.

Here, you can change the Virtual Machine Name, and also you change the Virtual Machine location, then click on Next.

Configure Encryption - In the What to Encrypt select All Files (.vmdk, vmx, etc.) for this virtual machine, then set a minimum 8-digit mixed password, confirm the password, and click Next.

Now, configure the disk size according to your requirements; a minimum of 64GB is recommended for Windows 11. Then, select Store virtual disk as a single file, and click on Next.

Here, untick the Automatically power on this virtual machine after the creation, and click on Customize Hardware.

Here you can customize Memory, Processors, New CD/DVD (SATA), Network Adapter, Sound Card, USB Controller, and Display.
After customization, simply close it.
Now, Finish it.

Creating Disk .... and Encrypting the virtual machine will complete in a few seconds


Configuration is completed.
