RE: When Modern Science Ignores Reality To Maintain Relevance…

The part about locking in the value of light speed because the measurements wandered really stuck with me. When a constant gets declared by fiat, it can turn open questions into a closed shop and that kills curiosity fast. I am curious about that tabletop rig where a force outran light, got a paper or build notes to peek at. Feels like someone slapped a do not touch sign on the most interesting drawer.

i lost all my links, and don't know where to find it.
It is a circuit with capacitors aligned one way, and resistors aligned the other. You see it in all the electronics books. Just, someone finally built a big one.
Do you mean the old RC lattice, a grid with capacitors along one axis and resistors along the other, like the analog diffusion network from textbooks? In that setup a step at one edge seems to pop up across the array almost at once, tiny at first, which people call superluminal. Or was it an RC ladder delay line where pulse shaping makes the front look faster than c? Do any keywords ring a bell, like RC lattice, domino ladder, or diffusion network, or which book you saw it in?
