Stroke

Brain is one of the most important organ of the human body It's called like a CPU of body. The design of the brain is so fine that only God can create it and if there is even a slight change in it, the chances of getting a disorder increase. Without brain we can not do anything like a heart in body. Previously I explained about myocardial infarction you can see on click here. As same we can see attack of brain. We can called in medical terms as stroke.

Stroke is an medical emergency and mostly seen in age of 70 years and above.

There are two common type of shock :

1.Ischemic Stroke

In this type of shock, the vessels of the brain dilate and the blood pressure increases between the arteries of the brain. Sometimes these arteries become so narrow that they get blocked and due to this the flow of blood stops which is called ischemia. Due to the blockage of blood flow, blood does not reach the part of the human brain where the arteries have to reach the blood. You know that there is hemoglobin in the blood and oxygen is carried on hemoglobin and reaches the smallest part of the brain. Along with oxygen, the brain also needs a lot of nutrients and if it does not reach the brain, then the death of brain tissue starts. Which is quite a life-threatening condition. If not treated in time, it can prove to be fatal.

Quite often it also happens that if a blood clot from the human body reaches the brain through the artery, then it may block the artery and stop the blood flow as I told. In addition to blood clots, there may also be an air bubble, which is called an air embolism. So it's kind of obstruction. For this, it is called ischemic heart disease.

2.Hemorrhagic stroke

Hemorrhage means loss of blood from damaged blood vessels. In this type of shock, it happens that due to the bursting of the vessels of the brain, blood starts flowing out of the blood vessels. The blood that flows out of the vessels creates pressure inside the human skull. It wants to bleed out, but due to no way, it creates pressure inside the skull. Because of this, blood accumulates inside the skull, and the pressure in the brain increases and it also damages other parts of the brain. That is why it is called a hemorrhagic stroke.

Causes of hemorrhagic stroke

  • Trauma: In most of the road accidents, due to injury to the brain, the brain vessels burst, causing bleeding from the brain vessels.

  • If a patient is taking blood thinning medicines and if the dosage of the medicine is taken in excess, then it causes bleeding.

  • Hypertension: You all know that hypertension is a silent killer. If the pressure of blood increases in the brain vessels, then more brain vessels burst and blood starts flowing out of the vessels and inside the skull.

3.Transient ischemic attack (TIA)

Like I told you earlier that ischemic brain stroke occurs in the brain, but it is also there, but Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA) lasts only 5 to 7 minutes. When ischemic brain stroke is permanent. Sometimes the cause of Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA) is not even known why it happened. But every time we cannot take chances because many times people think that this is temporary but this is a wrong misconception.

Conclusion

In this post I told you that there are 3 types of brain stroke. All the three types I have explained to you why these three are different from each other. I hope you understand it well. In my next post, I will explain the medical risk factors of stroke as well as explain how we are responsible for stroke disease. In the next time I will also tell you how to know whether a stroke has happened or not and what are its signs and symptoms. Also, I will tell you what to do to avoid this disease?

THANK YOU
