Life in the Bay of Kotor, Montenegro
(Edited)
The Bay of Kotor is a place where the scale of nature and human presence exists in almost theatrical contrast. On one side — mountains rising straight from the water, vanishing into the clouds as if deliberately cutting the bay off from the rest of the world. On the other — tiny towns, all but lost against the backdrop of sheer cliffs.
Life here flows quietly and steadily, shaped by the rhythm of small sightseeing boats shuttling between Kotor, Perast, and other settlements of old houses with tiled roofs. But the moment a cruise ship appears, everything around seems to fall still. For nearly an entire day, the bay becomes a stage: the mountains turn into scenery, the towns into silent extras, and the ship — a guest from the future, temporary yet inevitable.
These shots are my attempt to capture that atmosphere on one of the grayest days in the bay.

I saw your photo mentioned in monomad challenge. Instantly I recognized those rocks of the cost of Eastern Adriatic sea. It's the place I grew up and I'm loving it. Actually, I'm from Croatia but Montenegro and Croatia are very similar. Nice shots!
Thank you for your feedback! 👍
