Monomad - Red fairy cup

This is my entry for the daily #monomad challenge

It's not a cup but a mushroom. Yeah, This mushroom with the Latin name Sarcoscypha coccinea does resemble a cup-like shape. At first glance it is very similar, even this mushroom is known as the red fairy cup. I found this fungus in the oil palm plantation area, and it grows on rotting palm fronds.

Several other mushrooms of this species have feathers, but the one I got today is shaped like a cup. And below I have uploaded some photos of the cup mushrooms I mean, hopefully one of them you like. Thank you..
