Monomad - Leaf-eating ladybugs
This is my entry for the daily #monomad challenge
While walking to the eggplant garden yesterday I found a pair of leaf ladybirds making love there. And when I tried to photograph them from a closer distance, they instead chose to separate themselves. Maybe they are shy :)
Ladybird is a beetle from the Coccinellidae family. This beetle species can generally be found on cucumber and eggplant plants. Even the presence of these small beetles on these plants can interfere with plant growth because these beetles eat the leaves of cucumber and eggplant plants. From the photos below, you can see that there are holes in the eggplant leaves that were bitten by a ladybird.
