Monomad - Hoverfly, Moth & Stink Bug
This is my entry for the daily #monomad challenge
Today I'm back to share some macro photos with objects of several insect species. The first is a type of hoverfly or flower fly called Episyrphus balteatus. I found this hoverfly from the Syrphidae family in a bush when it approached a wildflower. But I have to try to chase him until he feels a little tired & rested. Only then was I able to get some shots of it. Before finally he continued flying and I completely lost track of him.
In the same location I also found a beautiful Samea moth. Samea is a genus of moths of the family Crambidae. This moth has a quite attractive appearance and unique behavior, which often hangs in the grass.
And the last insect is a type of stink bug which is one of the main pests for rice plants. And I also photographed it when I made observations in the rice fields a few days ago. The stink bug that I mean comes from the Pentatomidae family. This type of insect often sucks plant sap and mediates viruses that can damage and even threaten crop failure.
