Monomad - Dark small-branded swift (Pelopidas mathias)
This is my entry for the daily #monomad challenge
This afternoon around 15.50 I again went hunting for insects with a friend. Even though we walked quite far, there weren't many insects that I could get there. Even though there weren't many species of insects that I could find there, I also had to be grateful because I could still find skipper butterflies darting back and forth on the wild flowers on the outskirts of the swamp.
The skipper butterfly I mean is Pelopidas Mathias, a species of skipper butterfly from the Hesperiidae family which has several nicknames such as "dark small-branded swift" or "small branded swift" and also "lesser millet skipper".
Referring to its nickname, this butterfly has a dark brown color, besides that this butterfly also has agility. However, it is more docile to be photographed when they feel comfortable standing somewhere, especially if they are standing on a flower while sucking nectar.

Impressive eyes this insect has. Perhaps its color is used to protect itself from predators. Nice pictures 🤗
