As we know, butterflies are insects that are widely distributed in various parts of the world with several variations in color, shape and size. Of course each comes from a different species.

And today I want to share two photos of butterfly species that come from the same family. Because they come from the same family, of course they have many similarities both in terms of shape & size.

The two butterflies in question are skipper butterflies. This type of butterfly is easy to find in forests or bushes, but is rarely seen in gardens even if there are flowering plants. The first skipper butterfly is Potanthus omaha.

"Potanthus omaha, commonly known as the lesser dart, is a species of skipper butterflies. It is found in Australia, Indochina, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, India and Sulawesi." Wikipedia

"Pelopidas mathias, the dark small-branded swift, small branded swift, lesser millet skipper or black branded swift, is a butterfly belonging to the family Hesperiidae. It is found throughout much of south, southeast and East Asia, and as far as the Philippines. It is also present in tropical Africa and Arabia." Wikipedia

It is clear from these two butterfly species that they both come from the Hesperiidae family. It's just that the two have a slight difference, namely in the color. The Potanthus omaha butterfly has a combination of yellow & brown while the Pelopidas mathias butterfly is completely brown.

Meanwhile, in terms of other characteristics, I think they are the same, both in terms of shape and size. In fact, both of them are also very agile and quite wild, even though they are quite easy to find.
