This is my contribution to #FungiFriday by @ewkaw

Happy Fungi Friday for all friends in this community. As usual, today I have prepared two types of beautiful mushrooms, both of which have bright attractive colors, namely yellow. It was so coincidental that while on a mushroom hunt yesterday I came across these two yellow mushrooms at the same location that I decided to post them together.

The first yellow mushroom is Dacryopinax spathularia, a species of jelly fungus in the Dacrymycetaceae family. When it is in full bloom, this mushroom is often shaped like a spoon, and it is said that this mushroom can also be eaten, but to find it in large quantities is a little more difficult except by cultivating it.

Then the second yellow mushroom is part of the Mycena fungus, and this mushroom that I found seems to be a Mycena acicula mushroom. If the yellow jelly mushroom above is similar to the shape of a spoon, while the yellow mushroom belonging to Mycena has a hat-like shape or is also often called the "orange bonnet". And generally this mushroom likes to grow on small twigs or sometimes even grows on rotten leaves.

The world of mushrooms is truly amazing... They are so important for the whole ecosystem, but very often so invisible to humans... Thanks for the closeup! 😃
Great photos!

I have picked this post on behalf of the @OurPick project which will be highlighted in the next post!
