Arachnida : Spider - Plexippus petersi

Hello Amazing Nature Lover..

This morning when I was under the rambutan tree I saw a small spider there. Is a species of jumping spider with a blackish brown color. This relatively small spider is a bit wild but we can still tame it.

At first I tried to take a rambutan branch with the aim of making the spider climb the branch that I offered. However, my attempt failed. In fact the little spider was frightened and grew wilder.

Until finally I tried to catch it for a while so I could take pictures. And this finally worked, although it was difficult to photograph it because the spider would not stand still. Even several times the spider jumped into the lens.

Thus the spider has a high level of courage compared to some other types of small creatures such as insects. The spider was only on my finger for a moment, after that I released it back to nature.

As for the spider I mean Plexippus petersi, this small jumping spider is a species of spider belonging to the family Salticidae. And here are some photos:
