Amazing Nature: The Beauty of the Monolepta Beetle
Hello amazing nature lover..
This afternoon around 04.30 WIB I was in the cocoa plantation area. And in the grass area there I found one of the beautiful beetle species. This type of beetle is usually found on cucumber, pumpkin or eggplant plants. But this time I didn't find it in the plants I mentioned above.
And when I tried to match the results using the help of Google Lens, it turned out that this beetle is part of the Monolepta beetle from the Chrysomelidae family. Monolepta beetle itself is a species of beetle with various colors.
As I found, it has quite an interesting color, which is black with a mixture of golden yellow on the back or wings. And the body color of the beetle itself is a slightly brownish red. While the color of the eyes and antennae are black.
And just as beetles usually eat leaves, so does this Monolepta beetle. It can be seen in some of the photos that I have uploaded below, namely the leaves have been hollowed out as a sign of the bite marks of the Monolepta beetle.
