SOLUTION TO 09/03/2025 MATH CHALLENGE// BY @AKWASH360

Hello everyone, it’s another day of facing and overcoming challenge. I’m delight to share my solution for the day 09/03/2025, which happens to be a probability question for a rolling dice. Without taking any time I would proceed to submit my entry in details.

So, when I saw this question, the first thing I needed to verify was if the question is a question from the topic “Probability” of which I suspected. And I was able to confirm that and further interpreted the question to math terms. Since a die have 6 sides, it implies that the probability of getting a 3 if thrown is 1/6. Also note that the total prob is 1. So to obtain the probability of not getting a 3 we have to subtract the probability of getting a 3 from the total probability, of which we obtain to be 5/6.

Since we are asked to find the probability of not getting a 3 if 8 dice are rolled independently, this implies that we have to raise the prob of not getting a 3 for a single throw to the power of 8, which I further simplify to obtain a single value 0.23 or 23.2% to be the probability of not getting a 3 if 8 dice are thrown in the air.
