Qurator's Photo Quest: Tripartite Sweat Bee

Hey everyone! Today I decided to take part in the @qurator's Photo Quest challenge with the theme "Insect." Yeah! That's my favorite theme as a macro photography enthusiast.

These images were captured a few days ago on a savanna hill. The hills are quite close to a state campus in my town. So that's where I spend most of my afternoon spotting fascinating insects.

There was a Tripartite sweat bee (Halictus tripartitus) sucking the nectar from wild cherry flowers that afternoon. Yes, wild cherry is a kind of plant with lots of small flower clusters. That is a favorite of pollinators such as bees and wasps.
