Monomad: Wings

People in ancient times, even some in this century, believed that gods and goddesses, angels, and even devils had wings. The wings represent strength, superiority, and majesty more than humans. It is as if without wings, they are nothing—just as weak as humans. This was beautifully depicted through carved statues or ancient paintings.

It sure would be nice to have a pair of wings, and you don't have to be called an angel or a devil. With those wings, you can fly freely wherever you want.

I asked a pea blue how she felt about having a pair of wings. "Just normal, nothing special. I can fly, and you can do that too. We were given wings because we couldn't make airplanes," she said. "But we can't fly in the rain because the wings will be too heavy to flap, even if it's an angel or a devil. But you can!"

This is another entry I submitted for the daily #monomad challenge.
