Monomad: Welcome to the Real Wild

"Welcome to the real wild. You've become a full-fledged damselfly, buddy."
I whispered to a newly emerged Sundanese gossamerwing at the Rajab Creek.

It was crawling weakly on a rock. Its body was still transparent, not yet dark as an adult damselfly. Its wings were still soft and fragile. It was still too weak to fly, even couldn't protect itself from other predators. It would take another day to become a true damselfly; the little king that flies low patrolling the creek.

There were hundreds, maybe more, of newly emerged Sundanese gossamerwings daily along Rajab Creek. They would become awesome and beautiful adults.

This is another entry I submitted for the daily #monomad challenge.
