Monomad: Stay Calm

I decided to submit some macro shots for the #monomad contest hosted by @monochromes.

So I chose the Neoscona spider, also known as the spotted orb-weaver, for this round of the #monomad challenge.

The spider was there on the grass when the picture was taken.

This spider is quite calm in its position, as opposed to jumping spiders that often overwhelm you. This gives you several opportunities to take pictures from any angle you like. Additionally, I enjoy this split-tone look.

Here in the Philippines, we used to do spider fighting when i was young. But it is still tradition here but i'm not playing that no more.
Great photos by the way.

Cute spider, I like the ones that are quite willing to sit still while you snap away. I'm always scared they are going to jump on me though so tend to stay quite far away and use a zoom lens 🤣
