Monomad: Relax on Shameplant
Most people usually spend their afternoons in public places such as cafes, beaches, or places that provide views of beautiful landscapes. They hang out with their families or colleagues, but some of them are alone. Surely all of them need time to relax. In another life—I'm not talking about the unseen world, but the world of animal life—it turns out they also do the same thing. They need time to relax in the hours before dusk. Those of you who often watch the National Geographic channel know that.
I'm not talking here about groups of lions lounging leisurely one afternoon, masses of zebras, or large families of giraffes, for that is a long way off in Africa. Here, I am familiar with the lives of insects. One afternoon ago, I saw this weevil hanging out alone on a shameplant.
This guy enjoyed his leisurely afternoon there. He is too calm and doesn't move much.
"Right now, I just want to be alone, and that's good for me." Maybe that's what I caught from his behavior. While his other friends might be spending time mating with their partners.
Note: I'm sorry if my preamble is perhaps too long. Even though I only share macro photos of a weevil. 😁
